The Theatre Company commonly known as TTC is a successful performance company in the East African region. Over the past 14 years, it has created over 50 original and dynamic productions for the stage in towns throughout Africa and around the globe in English, Kiswahili and other Kenyan languages.
Every year, TTC creates a travelling show of 5 short pieces, known as Fire By Ten. It also runs professional training programmes for performers in Kenya that range from one week, part time courses, throughout our 6 week intensive full time course (at four progressive levels) to our 6 month Performer's Laboratory.
Much of the company's performance work is devised by the performers themelves during the training programme. Other pieces are created through a series of writer's workshops. TTC's inspiring physical facilities central to the high quality work include, the company's studio at the Storymoja Complex and Karichota. There is a base at the Little Theatre Club(Mombasa), an office in Eldoret and the newest base in Nakuru.
Productions include; Wanawake wa Heri wa Windsor (Shakespeare's Merry wives of Windsor in Kiswahili, Githaa, Kigezi Ndoto, Kimbia, Attack of the shida, Shungwaaya and Beach Access among others.
