Egyptian filmmaker and writer (1909-1969).

Ahmed BADRAKHAN is a film director and screenwriter.

Ahmad Badrakhan was one of the early pioneers of Egyptian cinema, born in 1909 in Cairo. After studying direction in Paris, he returned home with the screenplay for a feature: "Wedad", the first of many collaborations with the star Umm Kulthum. He subsequently made 40 films, mostly musicals; the best known are "Lasheen" (1938), "Dananir" (1939) and "Last Lie" (1950).

أحمد بدرخان
كان أحمد بدرخان أحد روّاد السّينما المصريّة الأوائل، ولد عام 1909 في القاهرة. بعد دراسة الإخراج في باريس، عاد إلى وطنه الأم مع سيناريو لفيلم روائي طويل: "وداد"، وهو الأول من العديد من الأعمال التّي تعاون فيها مع النّجمة أمّ كلثوم. أخرج بعد ذلك 40 فيلمًا، معظمها من النّوع الموسيقيّ؛ أشهرها
لاشين" (1938)، "دنانير" (1939) و"الكذبة الأخيرة" (1950)"
