Lili, a French photographer, travels to Agnam - a small village in Senegal - to do photographic work. In this country about which she knows nothing, photography forces her to communicate with the people. Regardless of cultural barriers, Lili develops a strong bond with Animata, a young girl who had a baby out of marriage and who faces a devastating decision. Their friendship will lead Lili to find a new path for her life.
Aged 33, Lili goes to Africa for the first time in her life, to Agnam, Senegal. Her local council has asked her to photograph the infrastructure they financed as part of the twinning of the two towns. Although the immediate affection and curiosity that she arouses intrigue her, Lili does not really stop to take stock.
