Un jeune homme, Amadi, las de la vie citadine décide de retourner dans son village. Là, il mobilise les villageois sur de nouveaux projets, qui concernent aussi bien le développement rural, grâce à de nouvelles techniques agraires, que le renouveau des pratiques ancestrales et des cultes traditionnels.
